Casa Bada’s story begins in the 1990s, when Suzy and Salvatore purchased this beautiful Tuscan countryside property, wanting to live a simple, idyllic family life.

Originally from Great Britain, and carrying a torch for art and history, Suzy found the perfect place to put down roots here in the birthplace of the Renaissance. Her husband Salvatore, originally from Sicily, is a builder, decorator and cook. (A “Renaissance man”,  if you will – he’s in good historic company in this part of Italy!). With their love of Tuscany as their guiding light, Suzy and Salvatore have built a life and a home together with their four sons: Alessandro, Lorenzo, Antonio and Charlie.

A warm welcome from a family living in the Florentine hills

All of the magic of staying in a Tuscan farmhouse

Thanks to Salvatore’s hard work and vision, the family has transformed the original farmhouse and buildings into a countryside oasis, perfectly in sync with nature. Today the Badalamenti family live in Casa Bada with their cat, dog, chickens, and three donkeys. It is a wonderful Tuscan country house with property rentals for those who want a vacation away from the chaos of city life, but still within easy reach (just 35 minutes) of Florence. The properties are surrounded by an olive grove with 200 olive trees used in making a savory organic extra virgin olive oil. Staying on the property, you’ll enjoy quintessential Tuscan countryside views, overlooking centuries-old vineyards that produce the fine wines for which this area is so famous.

``Tastefully decorated, and with uncanny attention to detail, it’s always ready to play host to new people, exciting Tuscan countryside experiences, and new memories!
